Family-owned for 75 years. That’s something many companies can’t say, and even fewer can truly understand. At PT, that legacy runs deep. Now entering its fourth generation of leadership, the company remains grounded in the values and vision it was built on while continuing to evolve for the future.

What sets PT apart is more than longevity. It’s a commitment to doing things the right way. From raw material to finished product, PT’s domestic manufacturing process reflects a dedication to quality, reliability, and American-made craftsmanship that has defined the company for decades.

Humble Beginnings

What started in a “chicken house” as a modest jobbing machine shop in 1951, founded by R.C. Parrish, quickly laid the groundwork for something much larger. By 1955, just four years later, the company had transitioned into a product line manufacturer specializing in quick connect/disconnect industrial hose fittings.

Originally operating as Central Machine & Tool in Enid, Oklahoma, PT has grown into an expansive operation with each added product and acquisition. Now, with 12 warehouses nationwide, more than 350 team members across four locations, and unique manufacturing capabilities that include heat treating, machining, injection molding, clamp and banding fabrication, and our various foundry operations, we continue to set ourselves apart in the industry.

Built on Strong Values

Like many family-owned businesses, the journey has not always been easy. PT has navigated decades of economic shifts, industry changes, and evolving customer needs. Through it all, one thing has remained constant: a steadfast commitment to its core values.

“Our success over the past 75 years comes down to staying true to who we are,” said Matt Parrish, President of PT. “We’ve always believed in taking care of our customers, investing in our people, and standing behind the quality of what we produce. That foundation is what allows us to keep moving forward.”

Those guiding principles have helped PT not only endure but grow by building long-lasting relationships with customers, partners, and employees alike.

The People Behind the Legacy

At the heart of PT’s 75-year history are the people who have shaped it. From early employees working alongside R.C. Parrish to today’s skilled workforce, generations of team members have played a vital role in the company’s success.

Many employees have spent their careers with PT, contributing to a culture that values dedication, teamwork, and pride in craftsmanship. That sense of continuity and shared purpose is a hallmark of the company and a key reason it has stood the test of time.

PT Today: Innovation with Purpose

Since its founding, PT has become known as a reliable, top-quality, made-in-the-USA manufacturer. Every investment, from facilities and equipment to product lines, is made with the goal of delivering the very best to customers.

In recent years, PT has expanded its capacity and improved production through automation, enhanced systems, and streamlined processes. These advancements allow the company to meet increasing demand while maintaining the high standards it has upheld for decades.

What hasn’t changed is PT’s hands-on approach and commitment to quality at every stage of manufacturing.

Looking Ahead

As PT celebrates 75 years in business, the focus is not only on honoring the past, but also on building the future. With a fourth generation stepping into leadership roles, the company is positioned to continue its legacy while embracing new opportunities for growth and innovation.

Rooted in the founding principles of faith, family, and future generations, PT has always believed that success is about more than business. These values have guided every decision, ensuring the company not only grows but continues to serve with integrity and purpose for years to come.

A Heartfelt Thank You

These years of success would not be possible without the support of the community, partner organizations, team members past and present, representatives, and loyal customers who have trusted PT every step of the way.

As PT reflects on this milestone, we are very grateful for the journey so far and are excited for the next 75 years!
